Columbus Circle (2023)

$1,400.00

DESCRIPTION:
One of a kind, photographic artwork created through digital manipulation. Printed on high-quality acid-free paper using archival pigments. This is a unique print, no others will be made. 36 X 36 inches with an additional 3” white border. Complete dimensions are 42 X 42 inches. Signed and dated, with a print-number (1/1), on the border.

THE STORY BEHIND THE IMAGE:
The New City collection is a playful reimagining of urban architecture, verticality, and density. “Columbus Circle” started as a conventional nighttime photo of Columbus Circle in Manhattan, New York City, looking southeast from the corner of Broadway and West 60th street in Autumn of 2014. The image was intentionally distorted and recolored using several digital applications, employed randomly until I arrived at a result I liked. The final composition and color capture an interpretation of the dark and mysterious energy of New York by night.
