Things Round (2023)

$900.00

DESCRIPTION:
One of a kind, photographic artwork created through digital manipulation. Printed on high-quality acid-free paper using archival pigments. Single print, no others will be made. 30 X 20 inches with an additional 3” white border. Complete dimensions are 36 X 26 inches. Signed and dated, with a print-number (1/1), on the border.

THE STORY BEHIND THE IMAGE:
Chicago’s downtown was the original inspiration for the New City collection, a playful reimagining of urban architecture, verticality, and density. “Things Round” started as a photo of the Marina City Goldberg Buildings situated on the Chicago river. The intentionally blurred photo was then further distorted and recolored using a series of digital applications, employed randomly until I arrived at a result I liked. In this case, the final image is made to recall an architect’s concept rendering, with overlaid notations and other perspectives attached.
